Retreat Yo(ga) Self Event

Last Saturday we invited the Brisbane yoga community to join us in a complimentary yoga class in the middle of Queen St Mall to raise awareness around breaking the cycle of poverty in Bali and in my opinion there was no better way to kick start my weekend than getting bendy with a bunch of like minded people.

Firstly Lisa and I want to say a massive THANK YOU to everyone that came out for the morning, there is something really powerful about being able to share your authentic self with others and come together as a community to share the experience of yoga. I’m still on a high from the vibe!

Most of you know that we hold our retreats in Bali a few times a year and that part of the world has a special place in both our hearts. The guys at lululemon (who continue to be my biggest support through my yoga journey) feel passionate about elevating the world in whatever way possible and with that in mind we had some limited edition mats for purchase with all proceeds going to the Jodie O'Shea Orphanage in Bali.

I am so proud to report that we raised a total of $950 on the morning…we still have a few mats for sale, they are limited edition and are selling for $50 with ALL proceeds going to www.careforkidsbali.com.au. If you would like to purchase one please email us info@templeyoga.com.au.

It was a fresh (understatement) day in Brissy, and I was so proud of all the yogis who battled the cold early morning to be there with us. Luckily our beautiful girls at Kiss The Berry supplied us with some coffee vouchers & fresh fruit platters that (if I closed my eyes…and stood in front of a heater) made me feel like I was back in Bali again.

We are each a larger piece of our yoga community than we realize and without this community that lululemon continues to cultivate and support, we wouldn’t be able to give back to the kids in Bali like we are now able to do. A big shout out in particular goes to Tyson Mitch & Mitch Baker, boys we think you guys are legends!
